My sewing journey started almost 20 years ago when my husband bought a sewing machine for me off of eBay to fulfill the itch I had to make clothes and bags. After many attempts at winging it (and lots of frustration and tears), a friend showed me how to follow a pattern which improved things greatly. But the business of school and work took over, the hobby fell flat, and my sewing machine wound up in storage.

Fast forward to 2017. I’d been an avid knitter for about 10 years but kept having the itch to come back to sewing. My husband (once again) stepped in a bought a Singer (from Amazon this time). My first quilt was made and I haven’t looked back.

Now my days are spent homeschooling my kids and sneaking in quilting when I can. My favorite quilts are block based using modern fabrics, like Ruby Star Society and I definitely prefer quilting with color.
